SKD was at the Ottawa Home and Remodelling Show!

Not this past weekend, but the one before that, we had a booth in the Ottawa Home and Remodelling Show.  It was a last minute decision – we gave the go ahead only 1 week before the show opened!  Bit of a whirlwind but it all worked out!  I had hoped to meet Brian Baumler, but he was there Saturday afternoon and I was not.  When I decided to do the show, my husband’s one stipulation was that I be home on Saturday afternoon for our daughter’s birthday party.  For some strange reason he didn’t want to entertain three little girls on his own!  Cyndi did a great job of covering the show while I was away.

I drove this giant truck to get supplies and didn’t even crash! #proud
The finished booth!

My doors and I! They’re jewelry/scarf hangers!
We match the booth! This was not intentional.

Overall the show was a success!  I haven’t decided yet if I want to keep doing the Fall show or switch to the Winter show.  The set up is a heck of a lot easier (and by easier I mean warmer!) in the fall….BRRRRR!  We met a lot of great people, some new trades and made friends with our booth neighbours.

Did you make it out to the show?  What did you think?

  1. Looks like you did a great job pulling together a fantastic looking set up. How was the over all attendance? I am planning to head to the Ottawa Backyard and Cottage show with Rustic Furniture Outlet ( Have any tips to create a good looking booth? Only have 15″ to display item, worried about what mix to bring long?
